How to distinguish spunbonded non-woven fabric from melt blown fabric¡¡Published by£º2021-12-21¡¡¡¡Categories:Industry news¡¡Viewed by: 8129 times Since the spread of novel coronavirus pneumonia, masks have become a must for all people. Stimulated by the huge market, a large number of mask manufacturing enterprises have sprung up. The manufacturing process of masks is very simple, there are no technical problems, and the key lies in the materials - many new mask manufacturers have never been involved in the mask industry and are unable to distinguish between spunbonded non-woven fabrics and melt blown non-woven fabrics, resulting in many problems.
So what's the difference between non-woven fabric and melt blown fabric? Let's take a look:
1. Difference of raw materials between non-woven fabric and melt blown fabric
Non woven fabric: polypropylene pellets are mostly used as raw materials.
Melt blown cloth: mainly polypropylene as raw material.
2. Difference of advantages and characteristics between non-woven fabric and melt blown fabric
Non woven fabric: moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, light and non combustion supporting. It is easy to decompose, non-toxic, non irritating, rich in color, low price, environmental protection, recyclable and so on.
Melt blown cloth: the fiber diameter can reach 1 ~ 5 microns. With many voids, fluffy structure and good anti wrinkle ability, the Microfiber with unique capillary structure increases the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, so that the melt blown cloth has good filtration, shielding, heat insulation and oil absorption.
3. Differences in structure and application between non-woven fabric and melt blown fabric
Non woven fabric: without warp and weft thread, it is formed by high-temperature melt spinning. It is very convenient for cutting and sewing. It is light and soft. It can be treated with water resistance, hydrophilicity and ultraviolet resistance. It is widely used in sanitary materials, industry, agriculture and so on.
Meltblown cloth: it can be used in the fields of air, liquid filter materials, isolation materials, absorbing materials, mask materials, thermal insulation materials, oil absorbing materials and wiping cloth. Melt blown cloth is the core material of mask.
The medical mask and N95 mask are composed of spunbonded layer, melt blown layer and spunbonded layer, referred to as SMS structure. The most important inside is the melt blown layer m (i.e. filter layer), commonly known as the heart of mask - melt blown cloth, which is mainly used to isolate droplets, particles, acid mist, microorganisms, etc. |
